All new posts in the “General” and “Automation Error” channels on Teams are now automatically forwarded to a Slack channel, which you can join with a Cornell email address here: https://join.slack.com/t/cornellnmr/signup.
We created this channel to make facility notifications more convenient for those of you who are already using Slack, but please keep in mind that:
- Teams remains the primary communication platform.
- Teams posts will appear on Slack with a short delay, and may not appear at all if the forwarder fails.
- Teams replies will not appear on Slack unless we forward them manually (and we can’t do that from the Teams mobile apps), so there may not be a Slack post when an issue is resolved.
- We will not see or respond to direct messages on Slack.
